Symbolic watches for /, @ and # in any editable macOS text field and opens a palette at the caret. / runs commands such as /date, /time, /snippet and /clipboard; @ inserts a contact's name; # inserts a project reference found in local workspace folders. It is for people who write across many apps and want the same shortcuts in all of them.
A session event tap discards ordinary keystrokes without inspecting them, and only a trigger at a word boundary in an editable, non-sensitive field opens a session. Each command declares its effect, so policy can allow, deny or ask for a second Return before anything with an external effect runs. Insertion tries direct Accessibility replacement, then a full-value write, then a clipboard paste that restores the clipboard only if nothing else changed it.
Status A working prototype; /rewrite, /shorten, /translate, action namespaces and the Rust runtime boundary are defined but not active.
