How does a desktop application become a tool an agent can use?

What I think right now

By exposing its real operations, not pictures of them. The InDesign server maps layout, styles and export into typed tools. The hard part is the boundary: what a call may change, and how it proves it did.

What would change my mind

Vendors shipping first-party agent interfaces that make scripting bridges unnecessary.

Loose ends

  • Undo and safety for edits an agent makes.
  • Which operations should always wait for a person.

The trail

  1. System Adobe MCP Documents, layout, artwork, layers and timelines cross a structured tool boundary into five Adobe applications, through ExtendScript, or a UXP plugin for Premiere Pro.
  2. Public repo Adobe MCP ↗

Think I have this wrong? That is the most useful thing you could tell me.
