Post-POS

A browser point of sale: register, customer display, WebUSB receipt printing and till reconciliation, with generated product photos and voice checkout.

In development
Post POS register with a dark sidebar, a grid of cafe products with stock counts, and a cart panel totaling 38.68 dollars.
The register in demo mode: a six item cart with 8.25 percent tax, an upsell pairing and one tender button. Product art is the generated placeholder tier.
Menu Engineering Matrix with four colored quadrants, Stars, Plowhorses, Puzzles and Dogs, each listing cafe items with units sold, food cost and margin.
The menu matrix sorts items into four groups against the menu's own medians for volume and margin. Sample sales and costs.

Post-POS is a point of sale and back office for a small shop or counter. It covers the register and checkout, a customer-facing display, receipt printing and the cash drawer, till sessions, sales reports and a menu margin matrix.

The customer display at /cfd mirrors the live cart over BroadcastChannel, and receipts go to a thermal printer as raw ESC/POS bytes over WebUSB. Storage sits behind one store interface: it runs in memory with no setup, or on Postgres when a database URL is set, with tax, refund and stock rules kept above that interface so both behave the same. An AI gateway tries a local MLX image model first, falls back to a cloud provider, then to an SVG placeholder, for product photography and spoken order parsing.

Status In development; the README lists the register, checkout, printing and AI gateway as working, and no public deployment is confirmed.
